Martin is a philosopher and an old school hard core skier.
Marty, his business partner, is a long time Rocky Mountain local with several businesses in Park City, Utah. The shampoo has happened by accident. We both were travel bums, many
foreign places, many native peoples, one day we realized that there are several places around the world where natives are not losing hair at all.
In some cultures, bald or balding people are so rare, they are considered either holy or crazy. Just look at Machiguengas in Peru, look at Piras, Yanomamis, Ashaninkas and many others. Although the findings were pretty obvious, we have traced similar patterns of personal care, similar diets, unique only to those tribes, still it took us almost 4 years to put the pieces together. We have experimented with different combinations of natural ingredients, it took a long time between skiing and mountain biking. One day, my hair started growing a little bit, my fingernails were growing like crazy after using the solution we now call PC3. Since that day, every day is crazy with scores of people wanting the shampoo.
We didn't create a sleazy marketing campaign on the premise that people suffering from various stages of baldness (alopecia)
will be desperate enough to purchase some "magic" shampoo made out of "whatever" to help their condition. On the contrary, first we have learned about unusual uses for the capsaicin
based formula - later called PC3. We have learned this from tribal people (Machiguengas, Piras Yan-mamis) of South America.
Later we incorporated PC3 formula into a hair shampoo: Medici. Medici Shampoo has in fact displayed some very unique properties as a hair treatment. We were using it, our friends wanted it, others found out and also wanted it. Because of the FDA regulations concerning cosmetics, Medici is considered a cosmetic. It doesn't affect the structure or function of the body. We cannot label it as a "hair growing remedy" or "baldness preventing therapy."
The best way for you to find out how effective Medici is, and how it can help your hair condition is to talk to your friends who have used it, or talk to us and we can put you in contact
with others who have used it. Please also note that the FDA has approved capsaicin as a safe and effective pain reliever designed for external use in the 1980's.
That, however, doesn't change the FDA's strict labeling regulations.
